Vern Lake Float Fly

The City of Arvada has given us limitations due to COVID-19 so this event has the following regulations:
- In order to participate one must bring and show their current AAM membership.
- Masks to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 must be worn at all times except when piloting an aircraft. You will not be allowed to participate without wearing an appropriate mask while at the event.
- Social distancing must be maintained at all times
- As usual we have 2 tents to provide shade, however participants are not allowed to sit in the shade unless they are 6’ feet apart.
- When pilots are flying they must be further than 6’ apart
- If and when 15 people are present the gate will then be locked
- Pilots are not allowed to bring any guest(s) or family members.
- There are no reservations, first come first served is our policy.
- When completing the attendance form please enter your name, AAM number and cell phone or other phone number.
- Our normal flying fee of $5 will be in effect
Come join us at Long Lake Ranch Park for a float fly on Vern Lake. It’s free to watch and has a small landing fee for pilots. A small raft is also available if there are any “mishaps.” 2.4GHz frequency will only be allowed.
